My passion for filmmaking started at a young age, making ski videos with my friends. As skiing became a larger and larger part of my life, so did the desire to continually improve my ability to showcase my own skiing as well as the skiing of my friends. After graduating high school, I took some time to pursue skiing professionally. Working with sponsors introduced me to the world of marketing and developing my relationships with brands exposed me to the art of storytelling which has become more and more relevant in the digital landscape which we live in today. After a pattern of serious injuries, I switched my sights from skiing professionally to college and began attending Daniels College of Business at The University of Denver in the fall of 2015 to study Marketing with a concentration in Sustainability.

While at the University of Denver, my passion for film making grew in new ways. From leading a team of 7 individuals to win an online video contest sponsored by RedBull to working with various nonprofits to tell their stories through documentaries, I had a broad array of experiences to grow as a filmmaker. After graduating from the University of Denver in the Spring of 2019 however, I realized my passion for directing and producing music videos while working an internship for the Global Livingston Institute In Uganda. While there, I met a local music producer named Jazz, and directed and produced 2 different music videos for him. Music has always been a big part of my life, both playing and listening, and embracing that opportunity has put me on my current path of directing and producing music videos.

I have always been drawn to the idea of using my camera as a force for good. The world is full of problems, and I personally believe that filmmaking is one of the most effective tools for communicating those problems, and the unique ways individuals and organizations are approaching solutions to those problems. This is the basis for my desire to produce documentary work.

When protests erupted nationwide after George Floyd was murdered by the Police on May 25th, over the course of a few days we saw an unprecedented level of civil unrest, and it felt like a tipping point in the fight for civil rights and racial equity. However, how does real lasting change come about and what does it look like? After watching the proteste erupt, I felt compelled to document the historic events that were unfolding infront of us, and capture the raw emotion of individuals fighting for justice with those questions in mind.

This has turned into a documentary project which I am working on called Its a lot to explain. For more on this project follow the button below.
